About I began graduate school in September of 2000 at the California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles. One of the hallmarks of this program is that classroom work and clinical training begin almost simultaneously. Since beginning my graduate education I have trained and worked at El Camino College in Torrance, California, 1736 Family Crises Center in Redondo Beach, California, West County Counseling Center in Huntington Beach, California and The Saturday Center for Psychotherapy in Santa Monica California. In addition to this training, I also worked as a Psychological Assistant in Hermosa Beach, where I began developing a private practice in September of 2003. Upon becoming licensed I found myself with a fortunate dilemma. I had developed a successful part-time practice in Hermosa Beach, and had managed to create another part-time practice in Santa Monica. The solution to this "problem" is that I made a decision to maintain office space in two locations. I am currently seeing clients in both Hermosa Beach and Beverly Hills. In addition to private practice I have also developed an adolescent substance abuse treatment program at the Family Resource Counseling Center in West Los Angeles. Created by Dr. Lexi Welanetz and Dr. Sara Agott, FRCC-LA serves as a valuable treatment resource for infants, children, adolescents and thier families. I work with individuals, couples and families. The people that I see in my practice range in age from early teens to their late sixties but most of my practice is focused on clients that are in their teens through their early forties. Common complaints that people call me about are often symptoms of depression, anxiety, substance abuse or trauma, although relationship and work struggles seem to be just as likely. Regardless of the initial reason that a client calls me, I usually find that most people are struggling with something that can be called a phase of life problem and that therapy is often an incredibly useful resource.
